Head of Quality Management Systems (QMS)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Leader to head the Quality Management Systems (QMS) function for our EMS manufacturing operations in Pune. The role will oversee quality across PCB assembly, SMT, THT, testing and final inspection, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen the organization’s QMS framework and maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
• Drive quality excellence across PCB Assembly, SMT, THT, testing and final inspection processes.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), 8D, FMEA and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage supplier quality, customer quality, audits and certification requirements.
• Monitor and improve quality metrics such as FPY, PPM, DPPM, rejection and rework rates.
• Partner with engineering, production, supply chain and service teams to embed a culture of quality.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing Quality and QMS teams.

Required profile

• 18–30 years of experience in Quality/QMS leadership roles.
• Strong background in EMS, electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, SMT/THT processes.
• Proven expertise in ISO 9001, quality systems, process controls and manufacturing quality.
• Experience handling customer and supplier audits and quality certifications.
• Engineering degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical or related discipline.
