Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping

About the role

The Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping ensures that guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas are maintained to the highest Fairmont standards. You will deliver prompt, courteous service to guests while supporting the housekeeping team in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and clean guest rooms, bathrooms and common areas to immaculate standards.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, special needs and inquiries with professionalism.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning to verify quality, detail and compliance with property specifications.
• Manage housekeeping supplies and inventory, reporting low stock and ensuring efficient usage.
• Prioritize room assignments with supervisors to meet daily cleaning schedules.
• Report maintenance issues, damages or safety concerns immediately for resolution.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping or guest service experience in a hospitality setting.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety protocols.
