Financial Analyst I - AP

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join Zinnia’s finance team in Pune. The role will handle end‑to‑end AP processes, support month‑end close and ensure accurate vendor payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process PO‑based invoices in Tally, matching them to the correct GRN.
• Process non‑PO invoices, verify authorisation, and assign correct GL codes, budget centres and project details.
• Ensure timely invoice processing in line with supplier payment terms and reporting requirements.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve related queries.
• Maintain an invoice query log and address issues promptly.
• Execute weekly supplier payments via internet banking and reconcile credit‑card transactions.
• Process staff expense claims on a weekly basis.
• Perform journal entries, account reconciliations and provide general ledger support as needed.
• Assist with month‑end close, audit requests and ad‑hoc projects.
• Uphold internal controls and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the P2P process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of experience in an accounting department, preferably in accounts payable.
• Proven experience with accounting systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on improvement projects.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
