English Teacher (Grades 9-10) – Full-time

About the role

This full-time, on-site position is for an English Teacher at Al Hira Academy in Patna. The teacher will deliver CBSE-aligned lessons to Grade 9 and 10 students, focusing on reading, writing, grammar and literature.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons and assessments for Grades 9‑10.
• Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
• Support language development, encourage critical thinking and effective communication.
• Manage classroom activities in an inclusive, structured environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, collaborate with colleagues and communicate with parents or guardians.
• Contribute to co‑curricular activities that enhance student learning.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with Grades 9‑10 or equivalent level.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education or related field.
• Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum and age‑appropriate pedagogical methods.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom that supports diverse learning needs.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability and commitment to continuous professional development.
