District Coordination Associate

About the role

The District Coordination Associate will serve as the focal point for implementing project activities across the district and landscape level. Reporting to the State Project Manager, the role involves coordinating with government officials, NGOs, and communities to ensure effective delivery of climate‑resilience and livelihood interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the State Project Manager in developing and executing district‑level management plans aligned with state work plans.
• Facilitate day‑to‑day coordination with district, block and Gram Panchayat officials to support smooth implementation of activities.
• Collect primary and secondary data for monitoring, reporting and evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Organise awareness campaigns on climate change, ecosystem restoration and sustainable livelihoods.
• Support village‑level capacity‑building initiatives in partnership with NGOs.
• Monitor progress at landscape level and provide regular updates to the State office.
• Ensure inclusive participation of women, youth and marginalized groups in project activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in livelihood, natural resource management or rural development projects, preferably in Andhra Pradesh.
• Strong understanding of sub‑national institutional contexts and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, cleanse and analyse data for monitoring and evaluation.
• Proficiency in preparing reports, agendas and background papers for steering committees.
