Demi Chef de Partie – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

The JW Marriott Goa is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join its culinary team. You will work in a dynamic kitchen environment, preparing a variety of dishes while upholding the brand’s high standards of quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; manage thawing of frozen items.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish and maintain food logs.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
• Inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials and update service staff on menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies; report maintenance issues and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect company assets.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work long periods standing, lift up to 25 lb, and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting and reaching.
