Data Governance Manager – Data & Analytics (Bangalore/Kolkata)

About the role

PwC India is looking for a Data Governance Manager to join its Data & Analytics practice in Bangalore (with responsibilities also covering Kolkata). The role will lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑wide data governance and catalog solutions, turning raw data into trusted, actionable insights for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Define the enterprise data governance strategy, roadmap and implementation approach.
• Design governance operating models, including roles, responsibilities, RACI matrices, stewardship structures and policy enforcement mechanisms.
• Act as the primary liaison for client stakeholders, data owners, stewards, IT teams and business users.
• Conduct stakeholder workshops to gather requirements, align business priorities and shape governance processes.
• Lead and mentor associates and senior associates throughout data governance implementations.
• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of data governance initiatives, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Governance or Data Management consultant in a techno‑functional capacity.
• Hands‑on expertise in designing, configuring and implementing data governance and data catalog platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to run workshops and influence business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff and drive delivery across multiple locations.
