D365 F&O Finance Functional Consultant (Contract)

Key responsibilities

• Provide in-depth knowledge of Microsoft D365 Finance and evaluate customer business processes against standard Dynamics functionality.
• Lead requirement gathering, fit‑gap analysis, solution design, and implementation of Dynamics 365 Finance.
• Document business requirements, prepare functional design documents, configuration documents, and user manuals.
• Lead Conference Room Pilot (CRP) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
• Collaborate with technical consultants and client/end‑users, managing meetings and delivering solutions.
• Support the D365 Finance application to meet customer requirements and drive functional design.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience as a subject matter expert in Microsoft D365 Finance/F&O.
• Extensive experience with core financial modules such as AP, AR, GL, FA, Treasury Management and Projects.
• Graduate or postgraduate degree in finance or related fields (B.Com, M.Com, MBA).
• Microsoft certifications preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Core financial modules (AP, AR, GL, FA, Treasury Management, Projects).
• Electronic Reporting (ER) and statutory reporting.
• India localization expertise (e‑Invoicing, e‑Way Bill, GST compliance).
• US taxation configuration within D365 Finance.
• Azure DevOps and test management tools for requirements to UAT.
