Customer Services Rolling Stock Bid Manager

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a proactive Bid Manager to lead the full bid lifecycle for Customer Services Rolling Stock (CS RS) opportunities. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop winning proposals that support the company’s rail and mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end bid process from opportunity qualification through submission and post‑bid activities.
• Manage RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, tenders and coordinate bid kick‑off meetings, timelines, governance and review schedules.
• Conduct bid/no‑bid assessments, ensure compliance with contractual, legal and regulatory requirements, and mitigate techno‑commercial risks.
• Create customer‑focused proposals, executive summaries, value propositions, win themes and differentiators.
• Maintain consistency in messaging, branding and proposal quality, and provide regular management updates.
• Analyse bid outcomes, track win/loss trends and implement improvements to increase win rates.
• Maintain knowledge repositories, reusable content and support bid management methodology development.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering.
• Professional experience in service environments, project management or engineering within rail vehicles, automotive or aviation.
• Familiarity with spare‑parts management, maintenance and life‑cycle cost analysis.
• Practical experience with SAP.
