Credit Manager – Property Loans

About the role

The Credit Manager will lead the credit assessment and underwriting process for loan applications secured against property. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that credit decisions align with regulatory standards while supporting the bank’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate credit data and financial statements to determine applicant creditworthiness.
• Develop, update and enforce credit policies in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage a team of credit analysts and underwriters to guarantee efficient loan processing.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to achieve loan volume targets.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews and risk assessments to maintain a healthy loan book.
• Stay informed on market trends and property valuation practices to support informed credit decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in credit assessment and underwriting for property‑backed loans.
• Strong knowledge of property valuation and related legal considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high‑performing credit team.
• Good understanding of banking regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements.
