Content Marketing Specialist – 12‑month contract

About the role

Canva is looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to shape its marketing presence for Indian users. You will create and manage content across the homepage, product interface, social feeds, and YouTube, ensuring it resonates with local audiences. This 12‑month contract offers a chance to work closely with the India Marketing team and gain full‑funnel content experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and produce content for multiple touchpoints, from social ads to YouTube tutorials and product surfaces.
• Write scripts and copy for short‑form videos, product interface text, and social posts.
• Brief and coordinate with external agencies or internal creative teams to deliver production‑heavy video content.
• Experiment with new formats on Canva’s homepage, landing pages, highlights, and learning cards.
• Manage end‑to‑end execution: scheduling, CMS uploads, and A/B testing across platforms.
• Oversee localisation, ensuring Hindi content reads naturally for Indian users.
• Measure content performance and refine future plans based on insights.

Required profile

• Excellent writing ability across formats, from punchy Shorts scripts to instructional video copy.
• Deep familiarity with Canva’s product and workflows, enabling credible content creation.
• Strong sense of channel‑specific needs, always considering where and how users will see the content.
• Comfortable on camera with a confident screen presence.
• Keen eye for social and design trends, able to translate emerging formats into ideas.
• Proactive ownership of work, flagging blockers early and managing multiple content streams.
• Good understanding of Hindi for reviewing and briefing localisation.
• Based in Bangalore and ready to contribute from day one.
