About the role

Join Accor’s culinary team in Kochi as a Commis 1 – Continental. You will support the Chef de Partie in preparing high‑quality continental dishes while developing your skills in a world‑class hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organize your workstation and mise en place according to daily stock lists.
• Assist the Chef de Partie in executing continental cuisine with precision and creativity.
• Monitor portion sizes and presentation quality before dishes reach the pass.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and personal workstation.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure seamless service.
• Follow ordering procedures through the captain order system.
• Adhere to hotel policies, food safety regulations, personal hygiene standards, and uniform requirements.
• Report to duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name badge.
• Stay informed on daily specials, promotions, menu offerings, and recipes.
• Comply with accident, fire, and evacuation procedures.
• Provide a comprehensive handover at the end of each shift.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma/certification in Culinary Arts.
• Proven experience in star hotels or relevant hospitality settings.
• Creative and passionate approach to food preparation and customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
