Business Development Manager – Data Center Vertical (India)

About the role

3M is building its presence in the fast‑growing Indian data‑center market. The Business Development Manager will bridge cutting‑edge material technology with commercial execution, driving growth across hyperscalers, OEMs, ODMs and contract manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Map key customers and stakeholders in India's data‑center ecosystem, including hyperscalers, server/networking OEMs, ODMs, EMS/CM partners, and component converters.
• Serve as the technical interface for customers on next‑generation interconnect, thermal and power material needs.
• Translate complex system‑level requirements into high‑value 3M material and technology solutions.
• Develop and execute account strategies to deepen penetration and scale revenue across high‑potential portfolios.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align solutions with evolving standards such as PCIe, UEC, UALink, NVLink, CXL and Ethernet.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within the data‑center, semiconductor, or related technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of data‑center architecture and the needs of hyperscalers, OEMs and contract manufacturers.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiences.
• Strategic mindset with a track record of driving revenue growth.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PCIe, UEC, UALink, NVLink, CXL, Ethernet standards.
• Familiarity with interconnect, thermal and power material technologies.
