About the role
The BIM Technician – Electrical will prepare coordinated MEP 3D BIM models, perform clash detection and resolution, and create parametric BIM families. The role also provides specialist support to design teams for analysis and design modelling.
Key responsibilities
- Support design and bid teams with the creation of 3D visualisations.
- Support design and bid teams with the creation of 4D models and visualisations.
- Prepare quantities for Bills of Quantities (BoQs) from the 3D model.
Required profile
- Good English communication skills and ability to work closely with senior colleagues.
- Valid passport and willingness to be seconded to the UK for up to three months.
- 5+ years of production experience in design, drafting and engineering.
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, together with draughting qualifications.
Required skills
- BIM MEP software.
- AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
- Navisworks.
- Autodesk 3ds MAX (desirable).
- Microsoft Excel (desirable).
- Microsoft Word (desirable).
