BIM Technician – Electrical

About the role

The BIM Technician – Electrical will support design and bid teams by creating and managing 3D and 4D BIM models for electrical systems. You will work on coordinated MEP models, clash detection, and the development of parametric families.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare MEP 3D BIM coordinated models and perform clash detection and resolution.
• Create parametric BIM families for electrical components.
• Support design and bid teams with 3D visualisations and 4D model visualisations.
• Extract quantities from the 3D model for Bill of Quantities (BoQs).
• Provide specialist support to design teams preparing analysis and design models.

Required profile

• Good English communication skills and ability to work with senior colleagues.
• Valid passport and willingness to be seconded to the UK for up to three months.
• Proficient with Windows environments, word processing, spreadsheets, email, web applications and databases.
• Strong planning and workload management abilities, lateral thinking, and awareness of software limitations.
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) together with draughting qualifications.
• 5+ years of production experience in design, drafting, or engineering.
