Assistant Vice President - Treasury Hedge Accounting

About the role

Barclays is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead treasury hedge accounting in Noida. You will design and implement hedge accounting strategies, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the bank's risk management framework.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement effective hedge accounting strategies aligned with the bank’s risk management framework.
• Assess potential hedge accounting relationships, considering effectiveness, designation, and hedge ratios.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive hedge accounting documentation, including designation reports and effectiveness testing results.
• Perform fair value measurements for hedged and hedging instruments using appropriate valuation methodologies.
• Manage regular effectiveness testing and adjust strategies to maintain hedge effectiveness.
• Report hedge accounting effectiveness for internal and external statutory purposes, including annual accounts.

Required profile

Required skills

• CFA, Masters in Finance or Financial Engineering (advantageous).
• Experience with hedge accounting, fair value measurement, and effectiveness testing.
• Audit exposure in large financial institutions or banks.
