Assistant Manager – Process Training – Travel/GDS

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to lead process training for our travel and GDS operations. You will be responsible for onboarding new hires, ensuring they acquire the necessary domain knowledge, communication skills, and travel‑industry expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and hire candidates according to client and process requirements.
• Design, deliver and monitor end‑to‑end training programs, including pre‑process and on‑the‑job (nesting) phases.
• Conduct daily reviews of new‑hire training progress and generate accurate reports for internal and client stakeholders.
• Identify training needs (TNI), update training plans and create refresher content.
• Manage knowledge transfer through monthly checks, floor refreshers and on‑site coaching.
• Coordinate with peers, stakeholders and clients to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
• Develop intervention plans based on performance data, including one‑on‑one coaching, classroom sessions and on‑floor activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the travel industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in a training function.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and German (written and verbal).
• Willingness to work in a 24 × 7 environment on a 5‑day schedule with no weekend offs.
• Travel‑ready and comfortable with shift‑based work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) – certification is a plus.
