Assistant Manager – Assurance (Audit) – Financial Services

About the role

EY is seeking an Assistant Manager in Assurance within its Financial Services practice, based in Mumbai (also covering Gurgaon). The role involves delivering high‑quality external and statutory audit engagements for a range of financial institutions, ensuring compliance with audit standards and providing valuable insights to audit committees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise execution of external and statutory audit engagements across multiple clients.
• Handle audit assignments independently with end‑to‑end responsibility for delivery.
• Research technical accounting issues and apply relevant audit frameworks to client‑specific scenarios.
• Identify key risk areas within client businesses and align audit procedures accordingly.
• Stay updated on recent Auditing Standards and coordinate with peers to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively across client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements.
• Practical approach to solving complex problems and delivering insightful, actionable solutions.
