Assistant Cost Manager – Civil Systems (Ahmedabad)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to support the delivery of civil systems for major projects in Ahmedabad. The role involves both pre‑contract estimating and post‑contract cost control, working closely with senior Cost Managers and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pre‑contract cost estimates, tender documents and procurement reports.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and validate quantities for various civil systems.
• Perform bill verification, payment certifications and site measurements during the post‑contract phase.
• Assist Cost Managers in preparing cost reports, variation assessments and final accounts.
• Identify missing details in drawings, BOQs and specifications and raise RFIs as needed.
• Support feasibility studies and contribute to change and risk management processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch) – postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Relevant experience in a construction consultancy in India.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil systems and ability to perform rate and BOQ analysis.
• Understanding of cost planning stages, procurement routes, contracts and risk management.
