About the role

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited is offering a range of apprenticeship positions for 2026 across trade, technician and graduate streams. Candidates will receive on‑the‑job training at the Chennai plant and earn a monthly stipend while developing sector‑specific skills.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in hands‑on training aligned with the selected trade or academic discipline.
• Perform laboratory assistance, data entry, secretarial duties or human‑resource activities as per the assigned apprenticeship.
• Adhere to safety and operational procedures of an oil‑and‑gas refinery environment.

Required profile

• Educational qualifications as specified for each stream (e.g., ITI certificate, B.Sc. Chemistry, engineering degree, MBA in HR, etc.).
• Age between 18 and 26 years as of 1 October 2026, with age relaxation for reserved categories.
• Valid Aadhaar‑linked bank account for DBT transfers where applicable.

Required skills

• Trade‑specific technical abilities such as fitting, welding, electrical work, machining or drafting.
• Laboratory techniques for chemical plant assistance.
• Data‑entry proficiency for clerical apprentices.
• Basic human‑resource or secretarial functions for HR and office‑assistant roles.

What we offer

• Monthly stipend ranging from ₹4,800 to ₹12,300 depending on the apprenticeship category.
• Government contribution of 50 % of the stipend for NATS‑registered apprentices via Direct Beneficiary Transfer.
