Web Development Specialist

About the role

Sovos is looking for a Web Development Specialist to design, build, and optimise web platforms within WordPress and Drupal ecosystems. The role blends deep CMS knowledge with modern frontend development and marketing‑technology integrations to deliver fast, data‑driven digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and ongoing maintenance of WordPress and Drupal sites, including custom themes, modules and plugins.
• Create modern, scalable frontend components using JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Implement and manage analytics tracking frameworks such as Google Tag Manager and GA4.
• Design and maintain integrations with third‑party systems (CRM, marketing automation, design systems).
• Architect REST APIs, webhooks and headless/decoupled CMS solutions.
• Optimise websites for Core Web Vitals, SEO and accessibility standards.
• Define and enforce best practices for code quality, security and scalability.
• Collaborate with marketing, analytics and design teams to deliver business‑aligned solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with WordPress and/or Drupal development.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Experience delivering performant, secure web solutions at scale.
