VP of Engineering & Advanced Technologies – Components Business

About the role

Tata Electronics, a greenfield venture of the Tata Group, is building a world‑class Components Engineering business. We are looking for a senior engineering leader to drive technical strategy, operational excellence, and people development across our manufacturing footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Own engineering outcomes for quality, cost, delivery and scalability across assigned component manufacturing areas.
• Define and execute the engineering roadmap for process capability, yield improvement and operational robustness.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure stable mass production, rapid issue resolution and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical authority and escalation support for complex manufacturing and quality challenges.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, NPI and Business teams to align execution and support customer engagements.
• Ensure governance of process changes, NPI readiness, validation, documentation and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven senior engineering leadership experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record of building high‑performing engineering teams and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across cross‑functional functions and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
