US Taxation Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a proactive US Taxation Analyst to join Searce’s finance team. In this senior‑level position you will partner with leadership to manage end‑to‑end US and Canadian tax compliance, provision, planning and audit processes while driving internal‑control improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state and provincial tax returns for the US and Canada, including extensions and amendments.
• Calculate and analyze current and deferred income tax provisions, supporting quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Identify tax‑efficient strategies for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other business transactions.
• Respond to tax authority audits, compile documentation and represent the company in audit proceedings.
• Perform accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting related to tax matters.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional designation.
• 2–5 years of experience in US and Canadian tax compliance, provision and planning.
• Strong understanding of corporate tax laws and ability to interpret regulatory changes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with US tax forms 1120, 1065, 1040 and GILTI.
• Experience filing Sales and Use tax returns.
• Familiarity with tax automation tools.
