Supply Chain Manager – Semiconductor Equipment Procurement

About the role

Lead end‑to‑end equipment and material sourcing for a greenfield semiconductor assembly and testing facility. Ensure uninterrupted availability, quality, compliance and cost‑effectiveness of both direct and indirect materials throughout process qualification, ramp‑up and steady‑state production.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, negotiating long‑term contracts and securing critical equipment and material supply.
• Develop and execute a phase‑wise equipment procurement master plan aligned with construction schedules, clean‑room readiness and tool hook‑up sequences.
• Define category strategies, total cost of ownership models and should‑cost analyses for high‑value equipment and consumables.
• Coordinate with logistics, customs and export‑control teams to establish compliant trade pathways.
• Lead supplier identification, qualification, and onboarding, establishing Approved Vendor and Material Lists.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering, Quality and EHS to manage material specifications, change control and contamination risk.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management for high‑tech manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor equipment, materials and clean‑room requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage multi‑disciplinary stakeholder groups.
• Excellent risk‑assessment skills, particularly around single‑sourcing, geopolitics and logistics.
