Stores Executive – Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Stores Executive is responsible for managing all aspects of material receipt, storage, and inventory control within a warehouse environment supporting power‑plant and project supplies. The role ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while optimizing space utilization and preserving shelf‑life items.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming materials, verify gate‑entry documents, and conduct physical inspections.
• Post Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and manage user inspections and rejections in SAP.
• Process debit/credit notes, supplier bills, and handle transit insurance and e‑Waybill issuance.
• Manage storage, FIFO rotation, preservation, and consumption of shelf‑life items both manually and in SAP.
• Execute transfer postings, consumption entries, and maintain logical & physical location mapping.
• Control inventory through perpetual inventory, selective stock‑taking, and space‑utilization planning.
• Ensure audit compliance, liaise with legal and government authorities, and maintain documentation.
• Plan and develop warehouse infrastructure to meet project and operational demands.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of gate‑entry processes, material handling, and safety practices.
• Extensive experience with SAP inventory modules (GRN, transfer postings, stock‑taking).
• Familiarity with e‑Waybill issuance, transit insurance, and related regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of FIFO, shelf‑life management, and preservation guidelines for critical supplies.
• Proven ability to manage space utilization, spares handling, and location mapping.
• Experience in audit compliance and interaction with legal/government bodies.
• Background in power‑plant components or project‑supply logistics is advantageous.
