Staff Nurse – Dialysis

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our dialysis unit. The role involves delivering comprehensive dialysis care, monitoring patients throughout treatment, and collaborating closely with nephrologists to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of dialysis procedures according to physician prescription.
• Assess patients’ hemodynamic status, dialysis indications, vascular access, and comorbid conditions before treatment.
• Monitor dialysis sessions, manage vascular access, ensure adequate flow, and handle complications.
• Maintain liaison with nephrologists, report changes in patient status, and recommend treatment adjustments.
• Supervise dialyzer reprocessing, disinfect haemodialysis machines, and ensure proper priming of dialyzer and bloodlines.
• Record and maintain patient data for medical auditing.
• Check vital signs, educate patients about their disease and treatment, and answer their questions.
• Ensure correct medication administration and evaluate patient reactions to dialysis.
• Support the dialysis team in delivering respectful, high‑quality care.

Required profile

• Registered nursing background with experience in dialysis or renal care.
• Ability to assess hemodynamic status and manage vascular access.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with physicians and patients.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and equipment maintenance.
