About the role
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to manage and ensure the accuracy of payroll tax filings across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The role involves end‑to‑end tax lifecycle management, issue resolution, and supporting audit readiness.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review payroll tax filings to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Own the end‑to‑end tax lifecycle, including filings, payments, reconciliation, and amendments.
- Resolve complex agency notices and discrepancies with minimal supervision.
- Liaise directly with federal, state, and local agencies for issue resolution.
- Support audit readiness and compliance reporting through internal QA reviews of cases, tasks, and processes.
- Participate in an internal QA team with deep US payroll tax expertise to identify process gaps and drive proactive resolutions that improve client experience.
Required profile
- Strong federal and multi‑state tax exposure with deep regulatory knowledge of the US payroll tax system.
- Proven experience handling escalations and client‑facing issue resolution.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to think on your feet.
- Proactive problem‑solver focused on client satisfaction and retention.
