Software QA Manager

About the role

The Manager, Software QA will lead the Quality Assurance function for IQVIA’s Patient Access & Support Services (PASS) technology solutions. The role ensures high‑quality, compliant, and scalable applications that support claims processing, auditing, and patient support programs worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and derive valid test cases.
• Define master test plans and document overall testing strategy for projects.
• Execute test scripts, document validation of scenarios, defects and resolutions.
• Analyze test results, provide risk assessments and create lessons‑learned summaries.
• Drive defect management, root‑cause analysis and quality‑metrics reporting.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers and SMEs to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Lead QA strategy, test execution, automation adoption and release quality across functional, regression, integration and UAT testing.
• Manage distributed QA teams and ensure alignment with Agile delivery practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–12+ years of overall QA experience, including 2–5+ years leading QA teams.
• Proven experience managing enterprise application testing in an Agile environment.
• Experience with healthcare, life‑sciences or patient‑services domains preferred.
• Experience managing distributed teams and working directly with clients and business stakeholders.
• ISTQB, Agile or Scrum certifications are advantageous.

Required skills

• Manual testing, automation testing, database testing and API testing.
• Test automation frameworks such as Selenium and Playwright.
• Selenium with Python scripting.
• SQL Server for data‑validation queries.
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, Spira, TestRail.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodology.
