Software Engineer - Productivity Engineering

About the role

LinkedIn is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Productivity Engineering team in Bangalore. The team builds AI‑native systems that automate employee support workflows, turning manual, fragmented processes into intelligent, end‑to‑end experiences. You will work on the full product lifecycle, from design to production, helping employees focus on high‑leverage work.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship services that orchestrate LLM‑powered agents for autonomous support workflows.
• Own the complete development lifecycle, including architecture, testing, deployment, and monitoring, following AI‑native SDLC practices.
• Develop tooling and integrations that allow agents to safely interact with internal systems such as ticketing, knowledge bases, identity services, and SaaS platforms.
• Define observability metrics, create evaluation frameworks, and build feedback loops to continuously improve system quality.
• Use production data, user feedback, and evaluation results to refine prompts, retrieval mechanisms, and workflow designs.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and platform teams to translate employee pain points into measurable automated solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code and enforce engineering standards through reviews, testing, and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience building, testing, and shipping production‑grade backend systems.
• Professional programming experience in Python or Java.
