Software Developer – Mobile App Development

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer specialized in Mobile App Development to join a fast‑growing startup. The role is remote initially and focuses on building a high‑quality React Native product that serves both iOS and Android users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain React Native mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Implement user‑facing flows such as onboarding, account creation, profile setup, and activity/history views.
• Integrate features like camera access, photo uploads, QR code generation/scanning, push notifications, and payment method linking.
• Connect mobile apps with REST APIs, authentication systems, and third‑party services.
• Build real‑time, event‑driven experiences using WebSocket connections.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code following strong mobile architecture principles.
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, reliability, and security.
• Participate in debugging, QA support, release preparation, and app deployment (EAS Build, App Store, Play Store).
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of mobile application development experience with at least one app live on the App Store or Google Play.
• Hands‑on experience with React Native and TypeScript.

Required skills

• React Native, TypeScript, Expo SDK (managed workflow), Expo Router, EAS Build.
• Mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, modular architecture.
• REST API integration, asynchronous network handling.
• Authentication flows (JWT, OAuth, OIDC, Sign‑in with Apple, Google Sign‑In).
• Local device storage, secure token handling, session management.
• Camera, photo picker, media upload, device permission handling.
• Push notifications (Expo Notifications, APNs, FCM).
• Payment SDK integration (Stripe PaymentSheet, SetupIntent or equivalent).
• Git and collaborative engineering workflows.
