Senior Specialist – Product Development

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Specialist to join its Network platform strategy team in India. The role focuses on defining and delivering product specifications that leverage ISO 20022 and ISO 8583 messaging standards, driving the next generation of Mastercard’s core network services.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical requirements using ISO 20022 message specifications to create new products and services.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to shape product strategy and roadmap.
• Work with cross‑functional teams, including Switching Solutions, to manage ISO 20022 specifications.
• Translate ISO 20022 / ISO 8583 specifications into API‑first service definitions.
• Own the release management process for finalized specifications to ensure successful launches.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product development within the payments or financial technology sector.
• Strong understanding of messaging standards such as ISO 20022 and ISO 8583.
• Ability to work with global, cross‑functional teams and drive consensus.
