Senior Finance Controller (India)

About the role

OpenFX is seeking a Senior Finance Controller to build and lead the finance function for its India entity. Based in Bangalore, the role will own end‑to‑end financial operations, ensuring alignment with global controls and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate payroll processing, accounts payable, expense management and vendor payments.
• Evaluate and restructure current outsourced accounting arrangements.
• Set up local treasury functions, manage cash, bank relationships and inter‑company fund transfers.
• Implement India‑specific financial controls, policies and approval workflows.
• Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF/ESI, professional tax and advance tax returns.
• Maintain accurate books under Indian GAAP and support US GAAP consolidation.
• Deliver monthly close, inter‑company reconciliations and variance analysis for the global finance team.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings and transfer‑pricing documentation with external advisors.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with proven experience building finance functions in India.
• Deep knowledge of Indian statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, professional tax).
• Familiarity with Indian GAAP and ability to support US GAAP consolidation.
• Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable and treasury operations.
• Ability to work closely with global finance leadership and external auditors.
