Senior Director, Home Sourcing

About the role

The Senior Director, Home Sourcing leads Walmart’s global sourcing strategy for the Home (General Merchandising) portfolio. You will drive cost‑effective, high‑quality product delivery while ensuring safety and compliance for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the long‑term sourcing roadmap and mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Direct the quality strategy for Home Sourcing, using statistical analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with global merchants, product developers and cross‑functional teams to build and scale a robust factory and vendor network.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and industry best practices for operational efficiency.
• Ensure product compliance with Walmart’s quality standards and third‑party laboratory testing.
• Diagnose talent gaps, lead digital change initiatives, and foster an engaged, high‑integrity team.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in global sourcing, procurement or supply‑chain management.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data‑driven insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across merchandising, product development and compliance functions.
• Track record of building and scaling high‑performing vendor networks.
