Senior Cost Manager – MEP

About the role

Gleeds is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to lead MEP cost control and contract administration for interior fit‑out and commercial projects. The role involves overseeing post‑contract services, change management, and value engineering to ensure projects are delivered on budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage post‑contract cost variances, change control, and extension of time claims.
• Administer standard form contracts, preferably FIDIC, and ensure compliance with contract procedures.
• Prepare and present executive dashboards, cost, procurement, and tender reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Lead the procurement process from pre‑qualification through contract preparation.
• Conduct value engineering, life‑cycle costing, and cost checking/valuation activities.
• Negotiate and finalize final accounts and ensure effective contract administration.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (post‑graduate qualification is a plus).
• 10‑12 years of post‑qualification experience in cost management, quantity surveying or construction management, preferably on interior fit‑out/commercial projects.
• Proven client‑facing experience with strong presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of interior fit‑out projects (MEP).
• Proficiency with CostX software.
• Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard form contracts.
• Expertise in procurement processes and contract administration.
• Value engineering and life‑cycle costing.
• Cost variance analysis and change control.
• Advanced reporting and dashboard creation.
