Security Officer – Loss Prevention (SLP)

About the role

Zippee is building India’s leading quick‑commerce logistics network and is seeking an experienced Security Officer to lead security and loss‑prevention across its dark‑store operations in Mumbai. You will design and enforce safety procedures, conduct audits, and manage on‑ground security teams while supporting rapid delivery services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce SOPs for site security, fire safety, inventory control, loss reporting and compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform regular on‑site audits (weekly, monthly, quarterly and surprise) of all dark stores and resolve any issues.
• Schedule, deploy and mentor third‑party security personnel and central/regional auditors.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize space utilization in dark stores.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, on legal and security matters.

Required profile

• Ex‑defense, police or SLP professional with 0‑5 years of experience in security operations or loss prevention, preferably in e‑commerce or quick‑commerce.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑site teams while maintaining high integrity and ethical standards.
• Strong understanding of inventory audits, incident management and SOP development.
• Excellent prioritisation and time‑management skills in high‑pressure environments.
