School Medical Officer (MBBS) – On‑site at Delhi Day School

About the role

The school is seeking a qualified MBBS doctor to provide on‑site primary medical care for students and staff at its Delhi‑area day school. Working during regular school hours, the Medical Officer will ensure prompt health support, injury management and continuity of care within a safe educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and treat illnesses, injuries and minor emergencies for students and staff on‑site.
• Provide first‑aid, wound care, suturing and dressing within scope of practice.
• Administer and document immunizations and prescribed medications with parental consent.
• Maintain accurate medical records, daily clinic logs and incident reports; refer serious cases to parents and external health services.
• Coordinate emergency response, liaise with ambulance services, hospitals and parents during critical incidents.
• Support health‑promotion activities such as routine health checks, infection‑control measures and vaccination drives.

Required profile

• MBBS degree from a recognised institution.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience, including paediatric or primary‑care exposure.
• Female candidate as required by school policy.
• Valid state medical registration in India.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday full day and Saturday half‑day.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred).
• Proficiency in first‑aid, paediatric assessment and wound management.
