Python Developer - Web Application Development

About the role

Apple’s Supply Chain Innovation team is looking for a Python Engineer to design and deliver end‑to‑end software solutions that support supply planning, demand planning and product distribution. You will work with global stakeholders to create high‑impact, cloud‑native applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise highly scalable, distributed systems using micro‑services architecture.
• Lead proof‑of‑concept projects and pilot implementations to showcase new ideas.
• Continuously improve system reliability, performance and security.
• Participate in design and code reviews, debug issues and ensure timely delivery of quality code.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, support teams and end users across multiple regions.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation.
• Provide occasional production support for applications.

Required profile

• 4+ years of enterprise‑level application development experience with Python.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithm design and object‑oriented programming.
• Experience building Django or Flask based servers and RESTful APIs.
• Self‑starter, highly motivated and able to work independently while collaborating globally.
• Ability to multitask, guide contractors and handle occasional production support.
