Pump Room Technician – Boiler & Water Treatment

About the role

The Pump Room Technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and monitoring of the hospital's boiler and water‑treatment plant. This onsite position ensures reliable hot‑water supply, proper water quality and safe fire‑protection systems.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, service and maintain all pumps, boilers and related plumbing works.
• Monitor water‑treatment processes, record temperature, hardness and other quality parameters.
• Maintain tank levels (overhead, fire, raw water) and keep accurate registers.
• Back‑wash and clean filters, regenerate softeners, and manage regeneration cycles.
• Oversee fire‑system components such as hydrants, sprinklers and jockey pumps.
• Inspect bathroom facilities, resolve leaks, blockages and ensure hot‑water availability in patient rooms.
• Respond to daily complaints, log issues and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Graduate with 3‑5 years of experience in pump room or boiler operations.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to multitask.
• Compassionate attitude with good communication skills.
• Team‑player mindset and willingness to work in a healthcare environment.
