About the role

The School of Pharmacy & Technology Management at Shirpur Campus is seeking an experienced Professor in Pharmacology to lead teaching, research and industry collaboration activities. This senior academic position will shape the next generation of pharmacy professionals and advance the institution's research portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Pharmacology and related subjects.
• Supervise and mentor MSc, MPhil and PhD candidates, with a focus on guiding at least two doctoral students.
• Develop and lead research projects funded by national and international agencies.
• Publish high‑quality research in UGC‑CARE indexed journals, including at least five articles in internationally recognised journals.
• Collaborate with industry partners on R&D initiatives and consultancy assignments.
• Participate in departmental administration, curriculum development and academic committees.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology or a closely related discipline from a reputed institution.
• First‑class Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Pharmacy from a PCI‑approved institute.
• Registered pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
• Minimum 10 years post‑PhD experience in teaching/research, including at least 5 years at the Associate Professor level or equivalent.
• At least 10 publications in UGC‑CARE listed journals, with a minimum of five in journals indexed by Clarivate Analytics or Scopus.
• Proven track record of securing and managing research grants.
• Desirable: Post‑doctoral fellowship experience.
