Penetration Tester

About the role

ANZ is looking for an experienced Penetration Tester to join its Group Cyber Security Risk team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on protecting the bank’s systems, services and applications by identifying and mitigating cyber‑security threats through rigorous testing and advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and drive penetration testing activities across ANZ’s enterprise environments.
• Assure the safety, integrity and effectiveness of all penetration testing engagements.
• Identify vulnerabilities in complex environments and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Provide authoritative advice on control effectiveness and residual risk.
• Shape and evolve penetration testing standards, quality assurance processes, policies and operating models.
• Define risk‑based testing strategies aligned with the current threat landscape and business priorities.
• Engage senior leaders and executives to communicate outcomes and assurance.
• Assess internal capabilities and external providers to ensure quality and value.
• Drive continual improvement and innovation in penetration testing practices.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise security with a focus on penetration testing.
• Proven ability to lead penetration testing strategy, execution and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills to engage senior leaders and present findings effectively.
• Experience shaping standards, policies and operating models for security testing.

Required skills
