New Graduate Software Engineer

About the role

Visa is seeking a new graduate Software Engineer to join one of its technology teams. The role offers the chance to develop secure, scalable solutions that power global payments and to grow technical expertise in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Write optimized, secure, and scalable code following best practices such as unit testing and peer reviews.
• Design creative solutions that align with product and technology roadmaps.
• Develop end‑to‑end technology solutions to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders in an Agile setting.
• Document processes, designs, test results, and analyses.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and track defect resolution to completion.
• Review and provide feedback on development code, test designs, and test cases.
• Communicate status regularly to project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business or related field, graduating between August 2023 and August 2024.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology.
• Experience with automation tools and utilities (e.g., Selenium, REST, Groovy).
• Familiarity with software testing principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to tackle challenges, work collaboratively, and navigate ambiguity.
