Manager, Accounting - PM

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Accounting - PM to lead complex accounting activities and ensure high‑quality financial reporting across multiple operational areas. The role combines technical accounting expertise with strong governance, process improvement, and stakeholder partnership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee sub‑ledger accounting, settlement accounting, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and other operational accounting functions.
• Prepare and review high‑level financial statements, budgets, and management reports, providing insights to senior leadership.
• Maintain governance, controls, and SOX compliance, executing key controls and supporting internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, controls, and cycle times.
• Act as a trusted finance partner, building strong relationships with business stakeholders to align on accounting outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting requirements.
• Proven experience reviewing and analyzing accounting work for compliance with standards.
• Experience with SOX compliance, audit support, and control framework management.
• Ability to assess complex issues, recommend appropriate accounting treatment, and communicate recommendations to leadership.
