About the role
The Learning & Development Manager will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs that support the Ritz‑Carlton brand standards and the hotel’s strategic objectives. This role ensures that all learning initiatives are aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and guest experience goals.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver core brand and service‑related training for hourly associates, supervisors and leaders.
- Act as subject‑matter expert on brand and leadership development tools, guiding managers on resource utilization.
- Monitor compliance with mandatory training programs, collaborating with HR and Operations leaders to achieve full completion.
- Conduct needs assessments and partner with regional learning teams to develop custom and corporate training solutions.
- Measure training effectiveness and ROI, reporting insights to senior leadership.
- Oversee learning technology platforms and support the Learning Coordinator in daily training operations.
Required profile
- 2‑year degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field, plus at least 2 years of HR or learning experience, **or** a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with a certified trainer credential and no prior experience.
- Strong understanding of hospitality service standards and brand training requirements.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse employee groups.
