Intermediate Middleware Applications Developer (IBM Design Studio)

About the role

UPS is looking for an Intermediate Applications Developer to join its Global Integration Center in Chennai. You will work on middleware platforms that enable B2B, A2A, and customer integrations, focusing on IBM Design Studio mapping and communication protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across middleware applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve critical system and application incidents.
• Manage production service incidents from detection to resolution.
• Deploy and support mappings, configurations, and middleware components.
• Ensure best practices, reliability, and security of production systems.
• Debug, update, and test simple to medium mapping changes to maintain business continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting IBM Design Studio maps.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to lead technical discussions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time‑management, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
