Industrial Engineer & BPS Coordinator - Assistant Manager

About the role

The Industrial Engineer & BPS Coordinator – Assistant Manager will lead the Human Resources function for Bosch's Power Tools Manufacturing Plant in Oragadam, near Chennai. This role combines process engineering expertise with coordination of business process services to drive efficiency, safety, and quality across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and redesign manufacturing processes, workflows, and facility layouts to increase throughput and reduce waste using tools such as VSM, Kanban, TPM, and ergonomics.
• Conduct time and method studies, establish labor standards, and manage time‑data in SAP via the CAPP tool.
• Calculate production capacity and optimize resource utilization, including machinery and personnel.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality specifications.
• Use statistical software (Minitab, AutoCAD, Excel) to analyze production data and recommend improvements.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and other process documentation.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 6‑9 years of industrial engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (advantageous).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with structured, strategic thinking and good business overview.
• Excellent cross‑functional teamwork and communication skills.
