Guest Service Associate - Front Office

About the role

We are looking for a Guest Service Associate to join the Front Office team at Courtyard by Marriott Chennai. In this full‑time position you will be the first point of contact for our guests, handling check‑ins, check‑outs and a wide range of service requests while ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and process guest check‑ins, check‑outs, reservations, modifications and cancellations.
• Secure payments, verify billing, and handle all payment types, vouchers and adjustments.
• Activate, issue and file room keys and maintain accurate guest records for emergency purposes.
• Provide guests with information on hotel amenities, services, operating hours and local attractions.
• Respond to guest requests, relay messages to appropriate departments and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Prepare and review daily reports, cashier and closing reports using the hotel computer system.
• Count and secure the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Record wake‑up call requests and coordinate with relevant teams.
• Report any security or loss‑prevention incidents to the appropriate department.

• Professional appearance and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills with clear, courteous language.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
