Freelance Legal Counsel – Contract & Compliance Specialist

About the role

Deccan AI Experts is looking for an experienced Freelance Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support across its AI‑driven operations. You will work remotely, collaborating with internal teams to ensure contracts, compliance, and risk management are handled efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory and compliance matters.
• Identify legal risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.
• Support corporate governance, policy development and compliance processes.
• Assist with intellectual property, data privacy, employment and commercial law issues.
• Conduct legal research and stay current with relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners on legal matters.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate legal documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB/JD) or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial and contract law.
• Proven experience drafting and reviewing legal agreements and compliance documents.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
