ELV Engineer - BIM Coordination

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm active in the Middle East, is looking for a detail-oriented ELV specialist to join its team in Bengaluru, India. The role focuses on developing, coordinating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for ELV systems integration, working closely with architects, structural engineers and MEP teams to achieve clash-free designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical, lighting and vertical transportation systems using industry-standard software
• Perform clash detection and coordination analysis between ELV systems and other building disciplines
• Create detailed 3D models and construction documentation from architectural and engineering drawings
• Coordinate with MEP teams to resolve design conflicts and optimise system layouts
• Prepare BIM coordination reports and present findings to project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards, protocols and project-specific requirements
• Manage model updates and maintain data integrity throughout the project phases
• Support construction sequencing and installation planning using BIM data
• Verify model accuracy with site teams and resolve on-site coordination issues
• Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM processes and tools

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in BIM coordination on commercial or large-scale construction projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Preferred: knowledge of Indian building codes and construction practices

Required skills

• Revit (ELV modules) and advanced modeling capabilities
• Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
• Solid knowledge of electrical systems, lighting design and vertical transportation (elevators, escalators)
• AutoCAD and other relevant design software
• Understanding of MEP coordination workflows and construction documentation standards
• Preferred: BIM execution plans, coordination software and project management tools
