Cement Mason – Construction Support

About the role

The Cement Mason will support small construction, remodeling and renovation projects, ensuring high‑quality masonry work while maintaining a safe work environment. Reporting to Program Leadership or a designee, the role involves a variety of concrete and bricklaying tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements.
• Repair, maintain, and alter buildings, including mixing mortar, laying bricks, and constructing concrete sidewalks.
• Install and repair tile floors, perform carpentry related to masonry, and finish concrete surfaces to specified textures.
• Use hand and power tools such as floats, trowels, screeds, power trowels, and pneumatic tools for concrete finishing.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on concrete projects for management.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of comparable experience as a mason or trade‑school training in concrete repair and new construction.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment with changing priorities.
• Cross‑cultural sensitivity and an international perspective.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
