Cashier (Branch Banking) – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations within a branch, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position supports the smooth functioning of the branch’s cash handling function and delivers courteous service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments, providing acknowledgements.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedules and maintain accurate system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash and assets registers, and submit requisitions to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tallying, prepare end‑of‑day reports, and manage the branch vault jointly with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, identify cross‑selling opportunities, and educate them on alternate channels.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times, regulatory compliance, and bank policies for all cashier operations.
• Validate customer authenticity during cash withdrawals and verify deposit slips for audit purposes.
